Marimekko Spring/Summer 2024 “UNIKKO Forever”: 60th Anniversary in Full Bloom

It’s UNIKKO Party time! Each May, Finnish design brand Marimekko celebrates a major milestone in its history. This year, the iconic UNIKKO print enters its 60th year of prominence. A covetable collection of limited-edition fashion and home items has been dreamt up under the theme “UNIKKO Forever” to ring in the summer in which this jubilant occasion falls.

UNIKKO is always in full bloom during Spring and Summer! To Marimekko, vivid prints are ubiquitous in both seasons. For SS24, the florescent UNIKKO bursts into colours on different canvases, including the limited-edition printed dresses in seven shades and three silhouettes, namely the flattering A-line, the sheath, and the flare-style, with the vivacious undertone of the season of revival. There is a special Asia-Exclusive retro mini dress in a contrasting colourway of blue and orange for a statement vacation look.

The year 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of Marimekko’s timeless and most iconic print UNIKKO, designed by Maija Isola in 1964 to push the envelope of naturistic prints and herald the dawn of stylised blossoms on the artistic garden of Marimekko. Over the years, Marimekko has created over 3,500 prints, globally acclaimed for unconventional, animated motifs and endurable, utilitarian designs.
