In a thoughtful continuation of RIMOWA’s lasting legacy, the German Maison is proud to introduce its newest design: The Original Bag. Inspired by the timeless appeal of the brand’s iconic suitcases, RIMOWA enters a new chapter with the introduction of the unisex handbag.

Crafted to redefine versatility, the RIMOWA Original Bag offers a unique blend of craftsmanship and elegance. The new design seamlessly integrates the allure of the brand’s iconic Original collection with its emblematic grooves yet distinguished by its innovative proportions.

Made in Germany, the hard-sided and lightweight aluminium handbag—which can be carried by hand, as a shoulder bag or as a cross-body bag—boasts a sleek and durable exterior. Its expertly crafted frame, punctuated by rounded edges, pays tribute to the design language of the brand. An elegantly crafted leather handle that is reinforced by an aluminium frame ensures durability and effortless portability by hand, while a removable and adjustable webbing strap underscores its practicality for everyday use and travel alike. A further testament to its innovative design, the handbag also features a RIMOWA-pioneered button mechanism that readily facilitates opening and closing.

To mark the debut of the Original Bag, RIMOWA and agency of record, Anomaly unveiled a new campaign. Highlighting its broad appeal to connoisseurs of expert craftsmanship and confident style, the campaign film, directed by filmmaker Jordan Hemingway with images captured by Louise and Maria Thornfeldt, invites viewers to reimagine the spirit of exploration through the lens of city streets, where individual journeys unfold with endless possibility. The film follows four global talents: supermodel Liu Wen, rapper Central Cee, journalist and creative director IB Kamara, and photographer Larissa Hofmann. To a soundtrack of ‘Last Nite’ by the Strokes, they seamlessly blend into the pace of city life over the course of 24 hours, with the RIMOWA Original Bag in hand.
