18 Vibrantly Coloured Lions are Set up for Public to Touch from Head to Tail, Spreading New Year Blessings
From 11 January to 16 February 2025, Harbour City collaborates with Feng Shui Master Lee Shing Chak and NEEDLESS, the brand created by Jerry Keung of the renowned Keung’s Dragon & Lion Dance Team, to set up “Lions Roar, Blessings Pour” Chines New Year Decorations.
At Ocean Terminal Forecourt, a stunning 28-meter-long “Vibrant Lion Corridor” is set showcasing 18 vibrantly coloured lions and 13 traditional Chinese drums, symbolizing “a lifetime of prosperity”, hoping for thriving businesses in all sectors. Jerry Keung has specially crafted 18 lions in distinctive hues, each of them carries its own unique New Year blessing, such as “Soaring to Great Success” (飛『黃』騰達), “A Burst of Good Fortune” (一炮而『紅』), and “Smooth Sailing Ahead” (平步『青』雲). The corridor also features 8 flat drums and 5 standing drums, with 6 “special coloured drums” adorned with blessings like “Prosperity”, “Good Fortune”, “Success”, “Popularity”, “Wisdom” and “Wealth”. Everyone can touch the lion’s head for good luck and strike the auspicious drums to usher in a year full of positivity. The dazzling light panels atop the corridor reflect a spectrum of colours in the sunlight, wishing everyone a bright and prosperous new year!
Additionally, the Main Entrance of Ocean Terminal is adorned with festive patterns. The “Steps of Joyful Fortune” features magnificent 8-shaped totems, while two towering 3-meter high giant yellow and green lions welcome everyone at the entrance, symbolizing smooth sailing and success, and filling the mall with an energetic atmosphere! Wishing everyone smooth developments in the new year, with continuous progress and prosperity!
Collaborating with Feng Shui Master Lee Shing Chak to Launch Good Fortune Cards and Share Year of the Snake Fortunes, Wishing Everyone Good Luck in the New Year!
Harbour City once again invites renowned Feng Shui Master Lee Shing Chak to film a Year of the Snake fortune video at Harbour City, sharing his predictions for all 12 zodiac signs for the new year. This year, Dr. Lee specially created the exclusive set of 8 “Lions Roar, Blessings Pour” Good Fortune Cards in different colours for the first time, designed to help enhance various aspects of life including career, education, love, wealth, and health. Visitors can redeem a Good Fortune Card at the “Vibrant Lion Corridor” for a lucky charity price of HK$8, make a sincere wish, stamp the blessing seal on the card, and then place it in a prominent location at home to wish for good luck throughout the New Year! Visitors can also redeem a signed Good Fortune Card set personally blessed by Dr. Lee for HK$88 (limited to 88 sets), collecting all the blessings at once. All proceeds from the Good Fortune Cards will be donated to the “Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation”, spreading New Year blessings to others.

New Year Lion Dance Stage Allows Children to Experience the Joy of Lion Dancing, Learning the Traditions and Meanings Behind the Lion Dance
The Ocean Terminal Atrium transforms into “Prosperity Lion Dance Stage”, allowing the enrolled Junior Lion Dance group members to train in the mall, learning the majestic lion dance techniques under the guidance of the local professional lion dance team Keung’s Dragon & Lion Dance Team. After completing the course, students will perform lion dances in various locations throughout the mall.
Moreover, everyone can take photos with five impressive lions and lion dance flags at “Prosperity Lion Dance Stage”. It also features “Interactive Knowledge Couplets”, allowing everyone to learn about the traditional art of lion dancing, its production, customs, and meanings, enhancing the festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year.
