SANDRO “WILD ANIMALS” Qixi Capsulre Collection

SANDRO invites Dutch artist ROP VAN MI ERLO to express his world in the exclusive WILD ANIMALS capsule collection.

Rop Van Mierlo works in a variety of media, with drawing and painting as the starting points for his creative process. He uses a technique learned in elementary school, “wet-on -wet” to achieve a watercolor look, and depicts colorful animals. Control – or the lack of it – is an important element in his work. His illustration book Wild Animals, won a  Dutch Design Award in 2011.

Frog, rabbit, cat or koala, the SANDRO stu dio affix ed Rop Van Mierlo’s animals to various pieces in the autumn-win ter 2024 collection: a windbreaker, flowing shirts and jersey t-sh irts and sweatshirts complemented by shorts. Rop Van Mierlo has also reinterp reted the SANDRO logo with a wet effect.

BALENCIAGA QIXI 24 SERIES

Balenciaga launches an exclusive series of products and
a dedicated campaign celebrating Qixi Festival this year. The series consists of denim jackets, shorts, miniskirts, and pants in all-over graffitied peach pit black or dirty cream, as well as signature fit T-shirts and hoodies in black or pink, decorated with a hand-drawn heart design in white or red.
Classic Balenciaga accessories including the Fluffy Slide, the Explorer Backpack, Le City Bag, and the Monaco Bag are reimagined in exclusive colorways and materials such as lavender stuffed nylon and bleach-graffitied black industrial nylon.

Prada new collection for the Qixi Festival 2024

Prada is celebrating the Qixi Festival 2024 with a new collection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, as well as a variety of accessories in a palette of subtle hues for this special occasion.

The visual narrative showcases women’s styles, brought to life thanks to refined fabrics, materials, and production methods: embroidered linen, impeccable piqué, elegant cashmere and kid mohair knitwear, and ultra-soft leather. Bags are the highlight of the accessories range. The Prada Soft Lux and the Prada Arqué are revisited in tobacco-brown suede; the latter is also available in a selection of pastel-colored leather including granite and wisteria. Both can be accessorised with colourful charms, foulards, and tricks. Velvet headbands and hats sit alongside a special selection of jewelry. The collection’s footwear stands out for its solid yet dynamic shapes, ranging from loafers to ankle boots with a ‘double chocolate’ sole.

The same abundance of materials and options characterizes the men’s offering, with a palette that remains natural yet bolder than the women’s collection. Distinctive, preppy leather, canvas or nylon bomber jackets can be paired with a cardigan, sweatshirt, and poplin and denim shirts, created with a lived-in effect or conceived as a head-to-toe monochromatic look. An exclusive denim-colored leather is used on bags – a backpack and a cross-body bag with multi-purpose triangular pockets. In addition to sneakers, statement loafers also make a return, featuring a ‘double chocolate’ sole for men as well.

Burberry unveils swan motif for Qixi Festival

Burberry has unveiled a new swan motif , known for symbolizing love and loyalty, ahead of Qixi Festival. This artistic design showcases swans intertwined in a heart-shaped formation, featured across a range of items including T-shirts, shirts, silk scarves, dresses, and cardigans. The collection also introduces the iconic Rocking Horse bag in a new soap-white color for the season.
