Canada Goose celebrated ‘A NIGHT TO LIVE IN THE OPEN’, marking the launch of its new footwear collection and the unveiling of its ‘Snow Room’ in its Harbour City Gateway store.
Canada Goose launched its first-ever Footwear Collection in Asia-Pacific on November 11th and debuted two innovative styles for men and women. This marked a significant milestone in the lifestyle brand’s more than six-decade history, continuing to deliver on its purpose and takes its acclaimed function-first design to another level with this new category.
First is the Snow Mantra Boot, born from the brand’s pinnacle product, the Snow Mantra Parka, and designed for use in extreme environments, which requires a secure fit, as well as additional warmth and comfort. The second is the Journey Boot, a performance luxury hiking boot, handmade in Italy and inspired by vintage hiking boots. Both footwear styles are available at Canada Goose’s Harbour City Gateway store.
As guests arrive at the store, they are met with an impressive new window display: a vibrant LED light backdrop, that displays icy artwork, with the newly launched footwear collection brought to life in the centre of the space, which draws people in from the outside. At the entryway, guests are greeted with a 3D vortex mural. Installed in key cities around the world, the mural literally demonstrates a Force of Nature, aligned to the brand’s Live in the Open ethos that is told through its footwear campaign.
When trying on the Journey Boots and Snow Mantra Boots, guests will understand the beauty that arises when performance meets versatility. The exclusive Canada Goose Foot Scanner powered by Volumental is available instore providing consumers with highly personalized sizing recommendations. The Harbour City store is also one of the few Canada Goose stores in the world that offers this unique and experience-driven service.
Enhancing the consumer experience while trying on boots is a larger-than-life immersive LED experience. With a transparent OLED screen installed, guests can learn about the product information via the displayed media featuring the footwear collection and immerse themselves into the store ambience as the LED ceiling canvas projects visuals of Northern Lights.
Further echoing the theme and reiterating Canada Goose’s Live In The Open ethos, the unveiling of Hong Kong’s first-ever Snow Room promises an authentically Arctic experience, providing an interactive and immersive experience that deepens consumer’s understanding of Canada Goose and its heritage. The Cold Room is inspired by the climate of Churchill, Manitoba – a nod to the brand’s longstanding partner, Polar Bears International – and replicates various weather conditions, reaching as low as -12°C.
It also simulates how Canada Goose tests its products and allows consumers to test them and engage the various functions and features of each style. The brand’s Thermal Experience Index (TEI) is a proprietary five point system that helps consumers make an informed choice in their search to find the right jacket based on their body, activity, environment and lifestyle. It is an experience index of temperature ratings, where 1 indicates the lightest insulation – such as a rain jacket or lightweight down jacket for active pursuits – and 5 indicates the warmest parkas Canada Goose makes; the kind trusted in the world’s harshest conditions. The Harbour City offers TEI 1 to TEI 5 products.
