Empowering underprivileged children in Myanmar through music education
Build A Music School (BAMS), a non-profit initiative empowering underprivileged children in Myanmar through music education, aiming to construct a music school for the children there to against the communal drug problems in the Golden Triangle area.
“Music gives these children reliance and confidence, bringing the hearts and minds of people together to cultivate relationships. It is so powerful that it can even connect different parts of the world. Music education enables the orphans of Keng Tung to be proud of themselves and be confident enough to perform on behalf of their country. It is simply a miracle.” said Angel, the founder of BAMS.
BAMS is presenting their first photo exhibition “Little Musicians in the Mountain” at Gallery by the Harbour in Harbour City from today to 10 June, 2018. The renowned news photographer Billy HC Kwok has captured precious moments of the lives of orphans in Keng Tung, and documented the music journeys of these children who are pursuing their dreams.
