Maison Margiela and Reebok are set to release their first collaborative shoe, the Tabi Instapump Fury Hi and Lo.
Synthesizing the most familiar design elements of the two collaborators, Reebok’s trailblazing Instapump Fury from 1994, unites with Maison Margiela’s signature Tabi from 1988. The Tabi’s split-toed upper creates the foundation for the new shoe, which morphs with Reebok’s pump mechanism, an inflation technology originally developed one year after the Tabi in 1989. A small pump fills the patch wrapped around the upper, while an adjacent button deflates it. This transformative and functional element of the Tabi Instapump Fury echoes those key to the philosophies of Maison Margiela.
The shoe releases in two versions:
Maison Margiela’s white stitch logo is featured on the back of the upper, while Reebok’s vector logo is embroidered on the heel. The Tabi Instapump Fury launches in four colorways for both the flat and heeled versions: all-black or all-white, and color renditions that pay homage to the OG Instapump Fury such as the yellow, black and red as well as the white, blue and red.
Available now in Maison Margiela Harbour City store. The Lo version retails for HKD 9,990 .The Hi version retails for HKD 12,700
