Appreciating fashion entails the appreciation of diverse styles! Collaborating with “MILK X”, Harbour City delves into a multitude of fashion styles, decoding the exceptional qualities of each style, revealing how they enchant and become a trendsetter in the fashion realm.
WE LOVE STYLE, WE LOVE AMERICAN
How do we distill over a century of rich American history and culture into two simple words: American Fashion? Is it the rugged charm of the Western cowboy, the rebellious spirit of leather-clad knights, or the boldness of military pilots? American fashion is an intricate tapestry woven from diverse influences, including workwear, military aesthetics, rider culture, sports, outdoor gear, and traditional styles. Each era, from the Great Depression to World War II and the Swing Era, has left an indelible mark, giving rise to iconic figures like Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, whose legacies continue to shape the fashion landscape.
In the fifth chapter of We LOVE STYLE, WE LOVE AMERICAN, we welcome LAGCHUN as a pro to share his personal connection to the American aesthetic. A multifaceted talent—singer-songwriter, math tutor, and fashion doctoral student—LAGCHUN brings a unique perspective to the discussion of American style. His deep engagement with fashion is evident in the meticulous styling of his music videos, where he passionately interprets the historical currents and cultural richness of American fashion.
Beyond LAGCHUN, we are excited to introduce four dynamic new forces in fashion: model Mengyue (@LLLMENGYT), CINDY (@CINDYCYM), dancer Wesley (@SK8WES1EY), and actor Jason (@JASONLKC_CHIU). These four talents will embark on a creative challenge, showcasing American-style themed looks within a limited timeframe at Harbour City. LAGCHUN will provide thoughtful commentary on their creations, inviting us to appreciate and delve deeper into the origins and evolution of this iconic style.
