Roger Vivier’s Candy Clouds pop-up opens from 30 January to 18 February at Atrium II, Gateway Arcade of Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui. The vastness of the sky is joyfully contained in Roger Vivier’s pop-up and pop-in corners with the newest Candy Clouds displays, designed for the Spring Summer 2024 season. Among animated clouds, in a dreamy atmosphere, Gherardo Felloni’s creations come to life and narrate a joie de vivre capable of transporting those who experience it elsewhere.
The playfulness of Candy Clouds
The three-dimensional structures representing huge cotton candy clouds are sculpted and painted by hand by Parisian artisans and gain depth against a printed and then meticulously hand-finished “sky” backdrop. Equipped with arms and legs, the misty formations represent the bold essence of the playful fantasies of Roger Vivier’s creative director Gherardo Felloni. Is that a woman immersed in the clouds? Or have the clouds themselves come to life? In a sky of pastel colours – ranging from sorbet pink, to lilac, to powder blue-painted details make the atmosphere precious, almost muffled by the sophistication of the velvety finishes that envelop the room.
The ethereal concept
The inspiration behind Candy Clouds recalls the value of joie de vivre that only unique creations, the result of the highest ingenuity, couture savoir-faire and contemporary flair, can convey. In September 2023, a historic hôtel particulier in the heart of Paris was transformed into a parallel universe, a space of bold and dream like creativity, where cloud-filled spaces were among the stops on the journey of the imagination. Starting from a kind red concept, shopping in Roger Vivier boutiques has transformed into an immersive, multisensory experience that nourishes desire, tickling the sight as well as the touch.
The Spring Summer 2024 Collection
The intimate dimension of the dreamy world created in Roger Vivier’s shop windows,boutiques and pop-up from January 2024 sets the stage for the Spring Summer 2024 collection. Between bold shapes, cheerful colours, and meticulously crafted details, luxury accessories and the way they make the wearer feel are at the heart of the narrative thanks to the Maison’s excellent craftsmanship. Four key style concepts are present this season: pastel colours, denim, raffia and metallic finishes, with bags and shoes for day and evening taking centre stage. From the launch of the new Viv’ Canard model -the re-interpretation of a shoe created by Monsieur Roger Vivier and re-imagined with the divertissement that identifies Gherardo Felloni’s style -to the latest colour variants of the iconic Viv’ Choc bag -known for its transversality – the collection represents all declinations of luxury values. A true representation of Gherardo Felloni’s playful approach, Candy Clouds is a combination of extravagance and lightness transformed into an artistic dream with touch of bon-ton elegance.
